A must-read book!

Read this book and enter the dark world of real-life homicides. From the beginning of this fascinating book to its last chapter, police and underworld jargon explain the motivation and behavior of killers, victims, and investigators. Topics covered in the first seventeen chapters include: snuff movie, hitman, geographic profiling, National Crime Information Center, cold case squads, death notification, detective stress, bagging the hands, tape lift, contact head wound, disfigurement of fingerprints, arsenic, dynamite, chain of evidence, time of death, camera filters, human decay research, castoff blood, poly light, pyromanic, and stalkers.
The last chapter is about 22 high-profile homicides committed during the past fifty years. Chandra Levy, Danielle van Dam, Elizabeth (Black Dahlia), Kitty Genovese, Marilyn Sheppard, and Carol Stuart are some of the American female victims. Esther Castellani and Christine Demeter represent Canadian high-profile victims.
The extensive bibliography indicates the author went to great lengths to research this book and the outstanding crime scene photographs bring to life the topics covered. Every true crime reader should read this book. Very highly recommended.
